Due to the pending sale of Bowl-O-Rama, we have had to move the Doubles/Singles events to a different bowling center.  Due to the new center having fewer lanes, some squads are now over booked.  We are working with team captains in these squads to make alternative arrangements.

If you have a reservation in a squad that is now overbooked, we may  be contacting you to arrange alternative squads.  If you see another squad that your bowlers would be willing to bowl, please contact me and I will work with you to make the alternative arrangements.

Open Championship Tournament Lane Conditions

Championship tournament bowler,

As tournament director, one of my responsibilities is to determine the shot that will be used during our tournament.  My intention has been to provide a tougher shot in an attempt to keep the scores down and make everything fair for all participants.  However the pattern I choose to use is much tougher than I thought it would be, which caused total frustration for many of the participants in this year’s tournament.

I have discussed the oil pattern selection process being used with other members of the PSBA board of directors, including the retired tournament director.  Together we have come up with a plan to get our tournament shot back to a less demanding condition, much like what our bowlers encountered years prior to me taking over the position of tournament director.

I want to apologize for any negative experience you may have had due to the shot that was being used, whether it was bowling bad, taking way too long to bowl, or squads running late. As I stated earlier, I am going to do everything in my power to get the tournament shot back to what you are used to.  I truly value your input, negative or positive, and this year I have had plenty of both.

If you are considering not bowling in our tournament in the future, I ask you to please give me another chance, I know that our tournament bowlers are the life blood of the PSBA, and the last thing I want to do is to ruin your tournament experience.

Respectfully

Bryan L Hubler
